On the UEN website, I found the rubric tool, which allows you to create your own rubric using the website's format. You can also use templates already set up, such as the six traits of writing rubric, which would be very helpful to me.
I also found www.activities, which guides students to sites about books or topics the class is studying. It serves as a type of webquest, or could be used in a webquest you create using the links application. This section included information on Langston Hughes, Jane Austen, and Mythology.
Virtual field trip allows students to view pictures, text, and general information about such topics as Courtly Love, the Globe Theatre, and poetry.

Welcome to Haylee's Blog!
Hi, my name is Haylee Frohlich (formerly Haylee Bateman) and this is my last education class! I am student teaching next semester, which is pretty scary cause I feel like I know pretty much nothin' about teaching. Oh well!
I am from Elberta, Utah, and am 21 years old. I chose to become an English teacher mainly because I love writing and literature, but majoring in that field pretty much leaves you with no career options. I defaulted to teaching, and now I can't think of any other career that I would be happy doing. I am just hoping that I can transfer some of the enjoyment I get from reading and writing to my students!
